Attorney at Law
John has assumed strong leadership roles in the activities of the Omaha Bar Association (president, 1990-1991) and the Nebraska State Bar Association (president, 1992-1993; Executive Council, 1983-1989; and House of Delegates, 1981-1993). He has been a member of the Nebraska State Bar Commission since 2008 and, from 1996 to 1999, he served as a member of the American Bar Association’s Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs. In 1998 he was the recipient of the Creighton University School of Law Alumni Merit Award, and in the same year he received the Nebraska State Bar Foundation’s Distinguished Service Award.
John was a lecturer in Trial Practice at Creighton University School of Law from 1978 to 1983. Although John's practice continues to include civil litigation, most of his practice is now devoted to mediation and arbitration. John is a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals.
