Jessica has been a member of Erickson|Sederstrom’s Litigation Division since joining the firm in 2011.  Jessica’s litigation practice is focused on civil litigation, including commercial, insurance defense, and workers’ compensation. 

John has been a member of the firm since 1980, focusing his practice in the civil litigation area, including personal injury, products liability, construction, insurance, commercial, and real estate litigation, and he chaired the firm’s Litigation Department from 1985 to 2002.  He has handled jury and non-jury trials in the county courts, federal and state district courts, and federal bankruptcy courts, as well as appeals before the Nebraska Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Nebraska, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.  From 1978 to 1983, John served as an adjunct professor in Trial Practice at Creighton University School of Law.  John began providing mediation and arbitration services in 1995, and those alternative dispute resolution services remain a significant part of his practice.

Andrew’s litigation practice focuses on complex litigation for commercial and insurance clients.  Andrew has successfully prosecuted and defended causes of action for all types and sizes of clients.  He is also familiar with and proficient in obtaining resolution by way of all manners of alternative dispute resolution, including negotiations, facilitated negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations, among others.  Andrew is licensed to practice and has litigated cases in the States of Nebraska and Iowa.

Tom Culhane graduated summa cum laude from Creighton University School of Law and is a senior partner with Erickson | Sederstrom’s litigation practice group.  He is admitted to practice in the state courts of both Nebraska and Iowa as well as the federal court in Nebraska and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.  Following graduation from Creighton and prior to joining the Erickson | Sederstrom team in 1975, he clerked for the Honorable Donald P. Lay of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.  Mr. Culhane has a general litigation practice with emphasis in recent years in commercial litigation.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Randy Ewing practices primarily in the areas of Business and Corporate Law, Real Estate Law, Commercial Law, Banking and Bankruptcy. He is admitted to practice law in Iowa and Nebraska and is a licensed real estate broker in Iowa and Nebraska.

Mr. Gilloon is a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group.  He is a member of the bars of Nebraska and Colorado, and has tried cases in Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado and New Mexico.  Areas of practice include representing the firm’s clients in contract and business disputes, property damage and personal injury cases, construction cases, administrative law, probate and estate disputes, and insurance defense.

For approximately 35 years, Mr. Guilfoyle‘s practice has primarily involved the defense of professionals, including architects, engineers and accountants.  He is employed as panel counsel by a number of insurance companies that defend professionals. 

Mr. Guilfoyle has represented a number of architectural and engineering firms throughout Nebraska and in the State of South Dakota and Iowa.  He has been involved in a number of cases that established new law benefiting design professionals in the State of Nebraska. 

Mr. Guinan, a partner with the firm since 2002, practices in their litigation group focused on civil litigation, including commercial litigation, insurance defense and self-insured litigation, products liability, personal injury, employment litigation, workers’ compensation litigation, construction litigation, administrative litigation and appellate practice.

Sara Lamme is a partner with Erickson | Sederstrom and practices in its litigation department. Sara's practice consist of insurance defense and workers' compensation matters.  She advises clients which include among others, employers and insurance carriers, regarding issues related to workers' compensation injuries, claim recommendations, and employment issues.

Mr. Nelson is a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group.  He is a member of the Nebraska bar and has tried cases throughout Nebraska, both in state and federal court, and before administrative tribunals.  Areas of practice include representing the firm’s clients in contract and business disputes, property damage and personal injury cases, construction cases, probate and estate disputes, and insurance defense.

Ben provides support to Erickson|Serderstrom's litigation department by assisting in the prosecution and/or defense the firm's clients in various fields including employment discrimination, products liability, real estate, insurance defense, intellectual property, and personal injury.

Mr. Rusch, a partner with the firm since 2008, practices in its litigation group and is focused on civil litigation, including bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, real estate litigation, commercial litigation and appellate practice.

Tiernan presently heads the litigation section and is licensed in both Iowa and Nebraska.  He has appeared on behalf of his clients before most state and federal courts in both of these states, as well as before numerous administrative bodies.  With clients representing manufacturing, construction, service and other industries, Tiernan has come to learn what’s important in keeping clients focused on their operations, rather than being held up in the litigation process.  Tiernan is a senior partner at Erickson | Sederstrom and has been practicing since 1997.

Heather Veik has been a member of Erickson | Sederstrom’s Litigation Division since joining the firm in 2008.  Ms. Veik’s litigation practice is focused on civil litigation, including commercial, insurance defense, and workers’ compensation litigation.

Adam has experience practicing in the state and federal courts of Nebraska and Iowa.  Licensed in 2007, Adam has been involved in a number of litigated cases ranging from representing Plaintiff’s in personal injury cases to defending businesses in premises liability cases.  Adam has also represented corporate clients in contract disputes and other litigated matters between corporate entities.
